In a concerted effort to combat the growing challenge of tuberculosis (TB), HEAL Foundation, in collaboration with Mylan Pharmaceuticals Private Limited (a Viatris company), has launched the India Fights TB campaign in Maharashtra targeting Pune Rural and Dharashiv district.

The multi-channel campaign activities are designed to support the local population using culturally aligned methods to engage and educate. Nukkad Nataks, a traditional form of street theatre, will dramatize TB-related issues, radio activations will broadcast informative content to reach a wider audience. Additionally, subject matter expert interviews will feature prominent personalities discussing TB prevention and treatment, further amplifying the message.

The HEAL Foundation, spearheading the campaign, is working to raise awareness and educate the public about tuberculosis (TB). Dr. Swadeep Srivastava, Founder, HEAL Foundation, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying, "Our mission is to ensure that every individual, regardless of their geographical location, has access to critical information about tuberculosis (TB). Through engaging activities like Nukkad Nataks, impactful radio activations, and our knowledge portal www.indiafightstb.com, we aim to break down the barriers to knowledge and foster a more informed and proactive community."

In support of this initiative, Viatris is providing vital backing to ensure success. Dr. Dhara Shah, Head of Medical Affairs at Viatris India, highlighted the company's dedication to the cause, stating, "Viatris is proud to support the India Fights TB initiative as part of our commitment to improving global health.
