Bangalore and Delhi take the lead in healthcare, show the Highest Demand for Medical Transcriptionist and Clinical Data Analyst
On the occasion of World Health Day, the latest report released by TeamLease Edtech discusses how metropolitan cities such as Bangalore, Delhi, and Chennai are witnessing a significant surge in healthcare hiring. Expanding on the previous year’s trends, the Career Outlook Report (COR) 2025 HY1 revealed a 52% hiring intent between Jan-Jun 2025. This marks a 5% increase from Jul-Dec 2024, driven by advancements in digital health solutions, the expansion of diagnostic services, and the growing need for specialized care professionals.
With this year’s World Health Day theme focusing on 'Health for All,' the report underscores the critical role of skilled professionals in advancing accessible, technology-driven healthcare solutions across India. The demand for healthcare professionals in India is witnessing a significant shift, with the highest need for Medical Transcriptionists observed in Bangalore, where demand stands at an impressive 65%. Delhi follows closely with a 60% demand for Clinical Data Analysts. Other key roles also show notable interest, such as Pharmacy Technicians in Gurugram, at 58%, Phlebotomists at 55%, and Dieticians at 51%.
Interestingly, tier 2 cities are emerging as vibrant hubs for the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. For instance, Gurugram leads the way with a robust 58% intent for Medical Transcriptionists. Other cities such as Coimbatore show a promising 41% demand for Phlebotomists, while Kochi has a 50% demand for Clinical Data Analysts. Nagpur is also noteworthy with a 52% demand for Pharmacy Technicians, and Kochi again appears with a 49% demand for the same role.

These in-demand programs include Applied Clinical Data Analysis, Medical Reference Application, Pharmacy Technician Certification, Data Management, Clinical Documentation Software Training, Laboratory and Phlebotomy Software, and Automated Transcription Applications, among others.
