Commenting on the development, Dr. Sumitra Meena, Co-founder of Babynama, said, “We are aiming to tackle the critical gaps in pediatric care by providing accessible, affordable, and proactive solutions that empower parents to make informed decisions for their children’s health. This initial funding round is an immense validator and kickstarts our mission to create a world where every child and mother’s health journey is smooth and stress-free, where technology makes every interaction better, and where our expert team is there to guide families every step of the way”

Dr. Sumitra Meena, an experienced pediatrician with over a decade of expertise, along with her husband, Ashish Meena, an IIT Bombay graduate with over a decade of experience in startups, founded Babynama to address the pressing challenges faced by modern parents in accessing reliable and timely pediatric care. Since its inception in 2022, Babynama has achieved remarkable milestones, including assisting nearly 2 lakh parents in accessing timely care and identifying early signs of critical conditions such as respiratory distress, epilepsy, autism, and ADHD in children. This has enabled timely medical intervention and improved health outcomes. The platform has also surpassed 10,000 paying customers, offering a wide array of services to support mothers and newborns. Looking ahead, Babynama plans to launch third-trimester care programs, developmental initiatives targeting key aspects of child growth, and interactive workshops to empower parents.
