Francis deSouza, Silicon Valley tech veteran and former CEO of Illumina, joins 4baseCare’s Advisory Board

Francis deSouza brings 30+ years of leadership experience across genomics, technology and healthcare, delivering key advancements in Oncology

4baseCare, an Illumina Accelerator Company, that offers cutting-edge precision oncology solutions using advanced genomics and digital health technology, has appointed Francis deSouza to its advisory board. 

Francis deSouza is known for his strong track record of advancing healthcare through leveraging the power of genomics. In his decade-long career leading Illumina, the world’s leading provider of DNA sequencing and array-based technologies, he played a key role in making genomics more accessible globally. Under his leadership from 2016 to 2023, Illumina significantly reduced sequencing costs, delivered innovative clinical solutions, and expanded operations to 150+ countries.
