Maharashtra Government awards 40 villages to Clinivantage under VSTF programme
Nearly 16000 families to receive real-time healthcare advice from medical professionals
Clinivantage Healthcare Technologies has been awarded additional 40 villages across Maharashtra under the Village Social Transformation Foundation (VSTF) programme after successfully executing real time healthcare services across two villages Barasgaon and Mohot in Raigad district, connecting over 700 families in the rural areas with medical practitioners and field experts through digital/cloud infrastructure. The VSTF programme is an initiative by the Government Maharashtra towards the upliftment of the rural population by focussing on important aspects like education, women empowerment, child nutrition and healthcare amongst others.
Clinivantage Healthcare is one of the few startups in the segment to have won the contract from the Maharashtra Government based on their exemplary execution capabilities and technical expertise. The startup has already started building the required infrastructure and will soon provided digital healthcare facilities to these 40 villages, providing real time healthcare advice from medical professionals to nearly 16000 families. Clinivantage is an integrated digital platform that connects doctors, hospitals, caregivers and service providers with the patient in real time and puts patients in control of their health; bringing speed, simplicity, transparency and efficiency to patient care.
Dr. Abhay Chopada, co-founder of Clinivantage informed ‘the biggest challenge in healthcare in India is the unavailability of doctors in the rural areas. As a country too, we have a huge gap between the required doctors to patient’s ratio. With Clinivantage, it is our effort to build a digital infrastructure that surpasses this gap and provides real time healthcare services across all possible areas with trained medical professionals’.
Through the VSTF programme, Clinivantage connects and trains the local Asha workers to manage basic digital equipments and network connections. The Asha workers are trained to use digital devices to measure basic parameters like body temperature, blood pressure, blood sugar levels, ECG monitoring amongst other vitals and share this data online with the medical practitioner/s, who in turn advice the patients on future course of action. This real time video conferencing model provides instant healthcare solutions to patients who do not have access to basic medical infrastructure in their villages. [Please elaborate, if required]
‘The pilot run by the Maharashtra government received huge positive response from the locals and the role of Clinivantage has been highly appreciated in terms of execution and technology deployment. We have extended the scope to 40 villages post the pilot programme and Clinivantage will soon start execution across these 40 locations’ said Vijay Suryavanshi, Collector, Raigad District.
Though it started in 2017, Clinivantage started deploying services in May 2018 and has, in this limited period, forayed into 6 international destinations including USA, UK and Africa. Clinivantage has registered on its platform over 5000+ outpatient practices, 1000+ secondary & tertiary hospitals, 3000+ allied services providers and 6.5+ Million consumers. Various Hospitals, Doctors and Clinics have launched Clinivantage MyLife, a consumer health application. A combination of 40+ primary, secondary & tertiary healthcare providers are deploying Clinivantage Pro.Care, PMS & OTIMS-Surgery Safety Solutions to improve patient care; and further 75+ healthcare providers are deploying Clinivantage MyLifeTM to increase patient engagement. Currently, MyLife platform holds 10+ Million records; enabling access to personal health record, prescriptions and mobile tele-medicine with their preferred doctors.
The startup is also in the final stages of discussion with other state governments for replicating similar services plans like VSTF.
